Yahoo says its proprietary Click Protection System is the most stringent in the industry.

They have come out with Traffic Quality Center offering a sneak peak into its click fraud protection system.

Through this incentive Yahoo plans to show what they are doing to protect their advertising customers.

Google has recently added new features which alert the webmasters if their websites are carrying malware or spyware.

Google uses it webmaster tools console to alert the website owners of the offending website links which are infected with malware.

You must have also noticed a warning on some websites when you search and click on their url on Google saying that the website might contact malware or spyware programs.

Google even contacts the webmaster and alerts them of these issues.

The new features are as under

• You can request a malware review from Google and they will evaluate your site.
• You can check the status of your review.
• If the site is still harmful, Google will provide an updated list of remaining dangerous URLs
• If Google determines the site to be clean, you can expect removal of malware messages in the near future (usually within 24 hours).

IMO, this will certaily help in making the web malware free. A good step in the right directory.

Stephan Spencer says that underscores are the same as dashes to Google now. It a not a completely done deal at this point.  you have already made your site with underscores, it probably isn’t worth trying to migrate all your urls over to dashes. If you’re starting fresh, stick with dashes for now.
